REGGIE'S EXPERIENCE



THE MUSIC

Reggie's Experience is a rushing, provocative, inventive and eclectic flood of ass kicking musical regurgitations.
It is also a solo project by Réjean Gariépy, singer-songwriter from Quebec City, Canada. The sound of Reggie's Experience is quite varied,
ranging from loud rock to electronics, through dance, pop and a touch of classical. The vocals are sometimes aggressive,
sometimes dirty, sometimes humoristic, and Reggie's Experience borrows from the melancholy of Depeche Mode, the raw energy of Muse,
the modernism of Metric, the rythms of Madonna, the electronical intensity of The Faint the melodies of Coldplay.

Reggie's Experience project resulted from the pressing need for the author to express, without artifice and directly, his views on hot topics.
The lyrics start with constatations, fights, rebellions and personnal fantasies. The topics discussed are sex, north american way to deny
environmental emergency to change things, the 40 year old man's awakening about the rest of his life, bad treatments we reserve
to children and the stressing lifestyle we tend to inflict to ourselves. Those are the basis of this caustic musical project.

THE PROJECT

Reggie's Experience, it's also a scream from the heart. Conscious that the star system isn't accessible to 40 year old men, unless you do
aunt-and-uncle stuff, Reggie's Experience is in some sort a proclamation preaching the right for an old ass to play rock, to use
this musical style to spread ideas, share observations and life experiences in a way only ancestors like him can do.

THE BAND

Plus Réjean Gariépy on singing and rythm guitars, Reggie's Experience's on stage life can count on David Robin, lead guitar/synths,
who joined the project on March 2009. His solid studio experience is a plus for the shows, that are using a lot of sequences and samplings.

IN ENGLISH

Lyrics are in English. This is the result of such a short reflexion, even if Réjean is a French speaking person from Quebec City, Canada.
Réjean is much more comfortable to sing in English, and his musical influences are mostly in this language. He decided to express himself
in English, even if he's conscious he has a French accent; maybe people out t here will just find it exotic? The fact that the province of Quebec,
mainly a French province, is a little village in the middle of an English continent, makes the decision easy if you want to share your ideas with the more
people possible.

BUT WHO THE HELL IS RÉJEAN GARIÉPY?

For many years, Réjean polishes his talents in various artistic disciplines, including music, composition and singing. With a multi-faceted personality,
rebel but timid, a look carefully neglected, Réjean is primarily inspired by rock, but his music borrows from other musical styles
such as electronics and classical.

URGENCY ALBUM

In fall 2008, Réjean composed, recorded and mixed his first solo album. On the album, all instruments and vocals are performed by himself.
Réjean counted on Lynda Hayes for the English lyrics revision and François Couture for access to the studio. The album was recorded in october 2008
at the studio François Couture, Quebec City, mixed and mastered by Réjean Gariépy in november and december 2008. The marketing of the album
will be first exclusively digital with this website and music purchase websites. Promotion of the musical project is done by Réjean Gariépy
